OnePlus Drops Invitations for OnePlus 2
OnePlus today said consumers can purchase the OnePlus 2 handset anytime with no invite required. OnePlus has used invitations as a way to manage supply and demand. The company has scaled manufacturing of the OnePlus 2 to meet current demand, so it is available invite-free moving forward. OnePlus will drop the invite requirement for its new OnePlus X handset, too, though only as a holiday promotion from Dec. 5 to Dec. 7. The company is also offering discounts on a handful of its accessories during those same days. The OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X are available from the OnePlus web site.
