Apr 13, 2006, 12:17 AM by (staff)
Helio announced their second online tie up this evening. In addition to My Space, Helio will stock their handsets with access to a number of Yahoo! services as well. Unlike other Yahoo! tie-ups, which have primarily added yahoo software to phones and portals, Helio will integrate Yahoo! into the software of their phones. Users will be able to start typing a search string in at the home screen just as they would type a phone number, similar to the way Windows Mobile users can start keying in contacts' names at the home screen to find them. Helio will, of course, also package the usual Yahoo! applications with their phones as well including Messenger, email and mobile services.
