Twitter today moved to make Jack Dorsey its permanent CEO. Dorsey, who co-founded Twitter in 2006, has served as interim CEO since June when then-CEO Dick Costolo stepped down. Twitter has spent the last few months seeking a full-time CEO, and today confirmed in an SEC filing that Dorsey will fill that role. Dorsey also serves as the company's president of the board, and as CEO of Square, the payments company. Twitter also named Adam Bain as COO. The two are tasked with growing the company's user base, which has stalled in recent years, as well as turning a profit, something it has not done since going public two years ago.
