Vodafone Keeping Verizon Stake

Vodafone CEO Arun Sarin confirmed the company has no intention of selling its stake in Verizon Wireless. "We are happy with our position in the U.S. and have no current plans to exit," he said in a conference call. After months of hinting, Verizon recently made an offer to buy Vodafone's stake in Verizon Wireless for $40 billion. Vodafone owns 45% of the carrier.
Verizon to Buy Yahoo's Internet Business for $4.8B
Verizon Communications today said that it has agreed to buy Yahoo's core internet and search businesses for $4.83 billion. Yahoo's properties will join AOL under Verizon's ownership, to be managed by Marni Walden, EVP and President of the Product Innovation and New Businesses organization at Verizon.

Verizon has agreed to acquire a 24.5% equity stake in AwesomenessTV and will use the platform to add unique content to its go90 mobile video service. DreamWorks and Hearst will maintain 51% and 24.5% shares, respectively, in AwesomenessTV.
