During his keynote today, Steve Ballmer introduced 2 new Windows Mobile Smartphones. The HTC Star Trek will be sold by i-mate as the Smart Flip. The Smart Flip takes many of its styling cues - including its thin profile and flat metal keypad from the RAZR. It has 64 MB ROM / 64 MB RAM, a MicroSD slot for additional storage and a 1.3 MP camera. The other new smartphone is larger than the average Window Mobile phone because it includes a receiver for digital TV. The HTC Monet is a redesigned Faraday (Cingular 2125) with extra hardware and software to add compatibility with BT's mobile TV service based on DAB-IP, an extension of Europe's DAB digital radio service. It will launch on Virgin Mobile in the UK this spring.

Star Trek phone

🙂 I've been waiting for a Star Trek phone since the days of Captain James T. Kirk. 🤣 I like everything but those circular designs on the keypad and the location of the SD card. I think I want one if they don't price it too high.
Will SPrint ever carry this phone?

We need more flip smartphones out there

YEAH! TV on my phn. shoot. I'll be able to live out of my car as soon as they find a way to compact a small enough freezer/frig/microwave/stove to fit in my trunk. While they are at it might as well put a toliet in somewhere. Flush and drive.
