Google pushed out a minor update to Maps for Android devices this week and added several new features. Chief among the new powers is the ability for Maps to send a warning when the place users have chosen to navigate to (such as stores or restaurants) will be closed by the time they arrive. Further, when users perform searches for "my events," results will now also include locations for car rental reservations, flights, and hotels all culled from data in Gmail. The latest version of Maps also fixes some bugs. Google Maps is free to download from the Google Play Store.
