Cingular Launches International Data Plan

Cingular will launch two new data plans next month for subscribers who often find themselves outside the US. The GlobalConnect plans provide unlimited EDGE and 3G data on Cingular's network and include 100 MB of data roaming per month. The plan is available in two different flavors, a $110 version that includes roaming in Canada and Mexico, and a $140 plan that includes access in most major countries. Cingular will also launch the Option GlobeTrotter GT MAX card at that time. The GT MAX card includes quad-band GPRS/EDGE and tri-band (850/1900/2100) UMTS/ HSDPA. This recently announced card is capable of speeds up to 1.8 Mbps.
Cricket Adds Data Roaming In Canada and Mexico
Cricket today expanded its international options to include data roaming in Canada and Mexico at no extra charge. Customers who subscribe to Cricket's Smart and Pro plans, $50 and $60 per month, respectively, can use their rate plan data when traveling throughout North America.
Verizon Debuts $80 Unlimited Plan for Prepaid Service
Verizon Wireless today added an unlimited data option to its series of prepaid plans. According to Verizon's web site, the new $80 plan includes unlimited high-speed service without a contract, though video is capped at 480p and prepaid customers may see slower speeds when the network is congested.
Sprint Offering $20 LTE Starter Plan
Sprint today added a new option to its list of service plans. The Starter Unlimited Data Plan includes 1GB of high-speed data and unlimited 2G data for $20 per month.
AT&T's GoPhone Intros Unlimited Slow Plan
AT&T today made one of its postpaid plans available via its GoPhone prepaid brand. The new AT&T GoPhone Unlimited service plan costs $60 per month and offers unlimited everything at reduced speeds.
