LG Display today revealed a new screen for smartphones that stretches 5.5 inches across the diagonal and boasts quad HD (2,560 x 1,440) resolution. According to LG, the new panel uses in-cell touch technology to reduce thickness while maintaining excellent sensitivity. It can be used when wet, for example. LG also says the LCD panel offers 50% higher contrast and is 30% brighter than its previous screens, while not requiring any more power. Combined, LG says these two elements help improve outdoor viewability. LG plans to use the panel in and upcoming flagship smartphone, which is likely the successor to last year's G3.

LG G4 can't wait!

I am excited to see what LG creates with the new G4 🤤 , I've had the LG G2 and it's been an awesome phone. I've sold a lot of the LG G3 and I'm half tempted to get it, but the 4 is just around the corner, so I think I'm going to wait. I was going to get the S6, but I would rather wait to see what LG comes out with. Now I see a lot of talk about non-removable battery and no SD slot. Two features the LG G2 doesn't have and I don't care about. There is so much cloud storage options, and I never take out or need to replace my battery. And if I was to ever have to, then I'll just use my insurance to replace my phone after I store all my images and contacts. Hope LG goes away from plastic with the LG G4!

Very Interested.

LG has caught my attention. I'm very staunch on my needs and wants. I left HTC when they eliminated the crucial accessibility which I require. Samsung has disappointed me with its newly announced S6 and S6Edge. It has limited me to two choices. Either the S5 or defect to the LG3.

However, if the LG4 retains my needs, they will immediately gain another customer.

What is wrong with the S6????

i just hope they don't go curved screen only. as much as i love my G3 i might have to switch to Samsung if they go curved screen. we'll see i guess....

The S6 and S6 edge is quite indeed disappointing because of it's non-expandable memory and non-removable battery. But it also has it's good side. However, since the LG G4 is still sticking to what's best, I might be able to give my approval for it.
