Vine for iOS Now Preloads Videos for Faster Viewing
Vine has updated is app for iOS devices with some features that make the app faster. Vine created a new video file size that's much smaller and can be downloaded quicker. This allows Vine to preload users' home feed, activity notifications, and Vines in the Explore section before the app is opened so users can enjoy the app even when offline. Vine is free to download from the iTunes App Store. Vine said similar changes will reach its Android app soon.

Vine has updated its Android and iOS apps with a new feature allowing users to easily attach music to their videos. A function called Snap to Beat makes it easy to create what Vine refers to as perfect loops, or soundtracks that loop seamlessly with no breaks.
Vine Making Major Changes, Expands Video Length
Vine today announced a significant shakeup to its core product that it hopes will entice more people to use the video-looping app. Vine is now allowing people to capture and attach video up to 140 seconds, a huge increase from the 6-second limit that's been a core part of the service since it launched.
