Facebook today announced forthcoming updates to its Android and iOS messaging applications that will help people buy and sell stuff. Messenger supports For Sale Groups, often run within local communities, that act as newspaper for-sale listings or swap-and-sells. The new tools will allow sellers to add descriptions and photos to their listings, as well as set pricing and pick-up/delivery locations. Sellers will be able to mark items as available or sold, too, all from within the app. Facebook said the new features will arrive in the months ahead.

Careful

If they make it too easy to buy stuff they may end up with a FTC lawsuit(shakedown) on their hands like Amazon.
