Apple Pay Added to 200,000 Vending Machines
USA Technologies today said it has added support for Apple Pay to approximately 200,000 of its vending machines. The company has been adding NFC capabilities to its vending machines, including coffee brewers, vending machines, kiosks, laundry equipment, parking pay stations, and other self-serve appliances, for nearly 10 years. USA Technologies' vending machine owner-operators will be able to accept Apple Pay at their machines in addition to cash and/or bank cards. This means owners of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus will be able to pay for vending machine and other stand-alone, self-serve retail goods with their phone.
Apple Pay To Support Loyalty Cards
Apple today announced that Apple Pay in iOS 9 will support store loyalty/rewards cards, starting with Walgreens and Dunkin Donuts. Apple is also adding support for store-brand credit cards.
Android Pay to Gain Loyalty Rewards, Other Promotions
Google said customer loyalty programs and other consumer-facing benefits are headed to Android Pay. Speaking at a finance conference in Las Vegas, Google's SVP of ads and commerce, Sridhar Ramaswamy, said the service has signed up "millions" of people since launch.

Apple today distributed watchOS 4.2 to the Apple Watch. In addition to several bug fixes, the updated software adds support for Apple Pay Cash to Apple's wearable.
Exxon Mobil's Speedpass+ App Accepts Apple Pay
iPhone owners can now use Apple Pay to purchase gas at some 6,000 Exxon Mobil stations around the country. Exxon Mobil updated its Speedpass+ mobile app today and added support for Apple Pay.
Apple to Offer Official Screen Repairs At More Places
Apple plans to make it easier to repair damaged or broken iPhone screens by distributing its proprietary fix-it machine to third-party stores. Apple Stores use a custom device called the Horizon Machine, which is about the size of a microwave oven, to replace cracked iPhone screens.
