Skype today announced a minor update to its Qik app for the Android and Windows Phone platforms. With the update installed, users will be able to save their Qik videos from the app to their device's camera roll if they wish. Videos can also be sent or deleted. Skype Qik is similar to Snapchat in that it allows users to send semi-ephemeral videos to one another. The videos are limited to 42 seconds in length and expire after two weeks. Qik also lets users pre-record five-second Qik Fliks, which Qik describes as canned video responses to use when there's no time to record a new video. The Skype Qik update is available to Android and Windows Phone devices today, and will be available to the iPhone in the near future.

How useful

just another app that lets girls laugh at any nerd-turned-hipster-turned-skater white guy(the white adds nothing to the statement, but its just a unfounded stereotype)
