Google Search for iPhone Hits Version 5.0, Adds Material Design
Google today updated Google Search for iOS devices. Google refreshed the application with its Material Design language, which has been optimized for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus with bigger photos. As far as new features go, iOS users will be able to see their most recently visited pages more easily, start new searches with a single tap thanks to the new search button, and explore nearby places and points of interest thanks to Google Maps integration. Google Search is free to download from the iTunes App Store.

Google today updated its Google Search app for the iPhone and added several new features. The most significant improvement is support for Google's accelerated mobile pages, or AMP.
Latest Google Photos App Improves Search
Google is rolling out an update to its Google Photos app for Android with a new search bar. The app places the search bar at the top, replacing the floating action button that previously adorned the lower corner of the app.

Google today detailed several new features headed to the Google Search app on iOS devices. First and foremost, Google Search gains a new extension for iMessage that lets you perform Google searches from within iMessage and then easily share the results.
Google Search App for iPhone Gains a Home Screen Widget
Google today updated its main Search application for the iPhone and added a widget for the home screen. Technically, iOS doesn't support true home screen widgets other than those in the notification panel.
