T-Mobile today brought back several promotions that promise easier-to-manage data plans for families. Beginning Dec. 10, customers can get unlimited talk, text, and 4G LTE data for $100 per month for two lines. A family of four can share unlimited everything for $180 per month ($40 more per line). This promotion will be available for a limited time, but once signed up customers can keep it indefinitely. T-Mobile said it is also offering its 10GB of shared data for four lines (2.5GB per line, plus unlimited voice and messaging) for $100 month plan. This second promotional plan offers the extra data allotment until January 2016, after which the 10GB monthly data plan for four lines will drop to 4GB per month.

Strange price setup

Normally, it would be $140/mo for two lines with unlimited talk/text/data on T-Mobile's current Simple Choice plans, and then it would be an extra $10 for each additional line, plus $30 for each of those lines to have unlimited data too (so $40 per extra line)... so this plan really only offers a discount for the first two lines, the additional lines are the same.

Not that I'm complaining, this is a pretty awesome deal, saving $40 over previous offers for two lines with unlimited data, and it also makes you keep unlimited data on each line, so you can't just add extra lines for $10 if you want to keep this plan...
It's a simple way to drive to revenue. I'm considering swapping my 10gb plan for unlimited. That's $80 more for them, no more getting throttled for us. Brilliant if you ask me.
