T-Mobile Improves International Calling Plans

T-Mobile today made it less expensive for customers to make calls from the U.S. to select countries abroad. T-Mobile's Stateside International Talk plan allows Simple Choice subscribers to make unlimited calls to landlines in 70 countries for $5 per account (not per line). Alternately, $10 per month buys unlimited calling to mobile phones in more than 30 countries and 1,000 minutes to mobile phones in Mexico, which is in addition to the unlimited landline calling. The promotional pricing is available starting today and runs through the end of the year.

T-Mobile's most premium plan, Magenta Max , gets the biggest upgrades, with 5 GB of international high-speed data each month — up to 5G speeds where available — in 210+ countries and destinations.

Nice but.........

Anyone can download 1 of the countless ioS or Android apps that offer this same capability for much cheaper price points.

Sure - and most of them require the other person to have that same app. Others do not use your telephone number or require you to open and call in the app over VoIP which sometimes is not as great sounding as a real network (and in many cases can not ...
