LG and Google today announced the two companies have signed a multi-year patent cross-licensing agreement. The patents cover a wide range of existing technologies and also extends to patents filed over the next 10 years. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. "LG values its relationship with Google, and this agreement underscores both companies' commitment to developing new products and technologies that enhance consumers' lives," said LG in a statement. LG uses Google's Android platform for its smartphones, tablets, and wearables. It also manufactured both the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 smartphones for Google.
