Yahoo! will soon sell their own branded cell phone using Cingular's network. The internet portal is not launching an MVNO, instead they will launch a co-branded phone by extending their relationship with Cingular's parent SBC, with which they already co-brand high speed internet service. SBC executives have revealed the Yahoo! handset will be a Nokia model with 1.3 Megapixel camera, memory card, and mp3 playback, however they did not specify the exact model.

Just wait...I'm sure "GooglePhone" is right around the corner. This is starting to get a little bit nuts.

And I'm excited about this because...???

Who derives value from this? Consumers? Cingular? Yahoo? Nokia? Investors? Maybe, a little bit for each. But, I don't see alot anywhere. Can there even be enough value to make this a worthwhile venture?

If I'm missing something, please share.
yea that is kinda weird.. i know yahoo has some kinda deal with tivo.. maybe this will make tv on cell phones cheap?
