T-Mobile Simple Starter Subscribers Gain 2GB of Data for $5
T-Mobile today announced a new option for subscribers of its Simple Starter plans. The plan already offers unlimited talk/text and 500MB of data for $40 per month. Starting September 3, subscribers will be able to quadruple their data to 2GB of LTE 4G access per month for $5 more. The Simple Starter plan does not require an annual service contract and does not charge domestic overages.
Sprint Offering $20 LTE Starter Plan
Sprint today added a new option to its list of service plans. The Starter Unlimited Data Plan includes 1GB of high-speed data and unlimited 2G data for $20 per month.
T-Mobile Debuts Plan for Those Over Age 55
T-Mobile today rolled out the T-Mobile One Unlimited 55+ offering, a wireless plan that includes two lines with unlimited talk, text, and LTE 4G data for a total of $60. That price includes taxes and fees, but requires autopay.
AT&T Adds More Data to Mid-Range Plans
AT&T today tweaked its Mobile Share Value plans and added data to two of the options. Specifically, the $40 plan improves the data allowance from 2GB to 3GB, and the $70 plan improves the data allowance from 4GB to 6GB.
Sprint Debuts Unlimited Plan of Its Own
Sprint today announced Unlimited Freedom, a service plan that provides unlimited talk, text, and data for two lines at $100 per month. Sprint says the Unlimited Freedom plan offers "optimized streaming" for "video, gaming, and music" and "unlimited LTE data for most everything else." Specifically, video resolution is capped at 480p resolution when streamed over the network, while games are capped at 2Mbps, and music is capped at 500Kbps.
