Nextel Partners Forces Sprint To Buy

In a vote today, shareholders of Nextel Partners voted overwhelming in favor of forcing Sprint Nextel to purchase the affiliate. Nextel Partners' contract with Nextel gave the affiliate the option to either spin off from Nextel or be purchased by the carrier in the event Nextel was ever bought out. The two companies must now agree on a purchase price for Nextel Partners - a point of contention since the sale to Sprint was announced. Sprint has been filing cases against Nextel Partners for the past few weeks in order to get information from the company necessary to place a value on the affiliate.
Google Partners Create Add-Ons for Docs and Sheets
Google today said it has worked with several partners to develop Android add-ons for its Docs and Sheets productivity apps. The add-ons extend the functionality of Docs and Sheets, allowing people to accomplish more from their mobile phones.
AT&T Rebranding Mexico's Iusacell and Nextel to AT&T
AT&T has begun rebranding its Iusacell and Nextel properties in Mexico under the AT&T name. Moving forward, people who visit Iusacell and Nextel stores will be buying AT&T Unidos service plans (Unidos con Todo and Unidos a tu Manera, respectively).

Google today highlighted some forthcoming announcements that should have Android fans excited. To start, the company says a number of its handset partners are bringing new Android Oreo Go devices to market, and that the phones will be available for purchase soon.
HTC One A9 Reaches AT&T and Sprint Stores Today
AT&T and Sprint stores are now selling the HTC One A9. The phone's introductory price of $399 is no longer available, and HTC and its carrier partners are charging full price for the handset.
