Samsung Hints At Premium, Paid Version of Milk
Samsung today published an infographic explaining how its Milk streaming music service works. The company launched Milk earlier this year. It is based on Slacker's music engine and gives Galaxy-branded device owners free, ad-free streaming. The infographic suggests, however, that Milk is ad-free for only a limited time and will eventually include advertisements for basic service. The premium version, which Samsung indicates will launch soon, will cost $3.99 per month and include an ad-free experience as well as other exclusive features. Samsung did not say when this switch might be made.
Samsung to Pour Milk Video Down the Drain Nov. 20
Samsung today indicated via the Google Play Store that it will discontinue its Milk Video app and service for Android smartphones. "While we remain committed to providing premium entertainment services, we have decided to end support for the Samsung Milk Video app as of November 20, 2015," said Samsung.
Milk VR App Offers 360-Degree Content without a Headset
Samsung has released an app for its Galaxy handsets, called Milk VR, that allows people to experience its library of 360-degree content without a virtual reality headset. The app lets Galaxy owners search for, download, and play 360-degree video content directly on their handset.

Google Play Music to Be Default Music Player on All Samsung Devices
Google and Samsung today said starting with the launch of the Galaxy S8 and S8+, Google Play Music will be the default music player and music service on Samsung phones and tablets globally. Consumers who buy the S8 or S8+ will receive a free three-month trial of Google Play Music, which offers ad-free access to some 40 million tracks.
