BBM's Next Target: Gingerbread
BlackBerry today announced the pending availability of BlackBerry Messenger for Android devices running version 2.3.3 Gingerbread. The app entered open beta today, and BlackBerry intends to fully launch the app for Gingerbread devices next month. BBM is already available to Android devices running version 4.0 and up. BlackBerry did not say if the Gingerbread version will include all the same features found in the 4.0+ release.
BlackBerry Improves BBM with Support for Lollipop and iOS 8
BlackBerry today pushed out BBM 2.6 to the Android and iOS platforms, as well as its own BlackBerry platform. All three versions of the app gain new features, including support for stickers within group chats and a 60-second option for time chats.
BBM Beta for Windows Phone Now Available
BlackBerry and Microsoft today announced the immediate availability of BBM for the Windows Phone platform. BBM is being offered as a beta, but it includes many of the features available to the Android and iOS versions of the app.

PayPal Reaches BlackBerry 10 Devices
PayPal has made a version of its mobile application available in the BlackBerry World app store for devices running BlackBerry OS 10.x. With this new app, PayPal is available to Android, BlackBerry, Fire OS, iOS, and Windows smartphones.
BBM Arrives as Beta for Windows Phone
BlackBerry today followed up on its promise from earlier this year and released a beta version of BlackBerry Messenger for the Windows Phone platform. The app covers the BBM basics, which means it can be used to chat with individuals or groups, as well as share pictures, voice notes, contacts, and location.
