T-Mobile USA has updated a page on their website revealing details about their EDGE network. T-Mobile now claims they will launch EDGE data network-wide by the end of September. EDGE, often referred to as 2.5G, is a GPRS-based data network that is up to 4 times faster than original GPRS. T-Mobile is also rolling out additional network-wide upgrades, including the use of handsets' built in voicemail notification icons instead of the text message they used to send.
