T-Mobile Expands 4G LTE to 273 Cities

T-Mobile today announced that its 4G LTE network now covers 209 million people in 273 metro areas. They also announced speed test results that indicate their network is now the fastest. In markets with 10+10 MHz LTE, they are seeing 72 Mbps. In markets like Dallas with 20+20 MHz, customers can expect up to 147 Mbps.

Those speeds tho

Oh man, that's incredible. I know they're only test speeds but that's just incredible. 140 mbps+?! I don't even know what you'd need more than 20 mbps for for a single household, let alone a single phone!

I really want to see how much it actually will be. I mean if they can do that as a constant, then it will be impressive.

I guarantee those speeds will go down when more people start using LTE with T-Mobile and more MetroPCS user start getting T-Mobile compatible phones. If T-Mobile can keep the speeds up, then and only then will they earn those braggings rights.

Yes that is nice and yes that is if 1 person is on the network. The real test when enough devices are able to pick it up and see what it is during business hours in the day. Either way I'm sure it will average around 7-10 mbs which should be enough ...
