Alltel yesterday announced it has launched MMS interoperability with Cingular and Verizon. Alltel subscribers can now send messages directly to the handsets of users on those carriers. The company also said it will announce MMS agreements with other networks in the coming weeks. This move follows the trend of national and now large regional carriers carriers finally sharing messages across their networks. It also maintains Cingular's lead of MMS compatibility with every interoperable carrier.

SPRINT?

WHEN THE **** IS THIS GONNA HAPPEN WITH SPRINT?
When it freezes over? It'll happen eventually, even the hottest parts of the planet have had an ice age.

Alltel in California

Too bad I don't know anyone with Alltel or I might care lol. In all seriousness.. it's good we will have a central medium. Eventually we will all be able to "hit eachother up."

Although some of my customers I know will be happy (store owners). It might bring more customers to them. Yannever know.
