Sprint, Best Buy Offering Free Year of Service to Students
Sprint and Best Buy have teamed together to provide students with up to a full 12 months of Sprint service for free if they buy a new device from Best Buy. The offer applies to part-time or full-time students enrolled in elementary school, middle school, high school, college, or university. The offer, which went into effect November 15, provides free talk, text, and 1GB of data on Sprint's Unlimited My Way plan. All students can add unlimited data for an additional $10 per month, as well as share lines. The promotion is available until January 4, 2014.
Sprint to Give 1M Free Devices, Service to Low-Income Students
Sprint today said it plans to give away 1 million free devices with up to four years of service to low-income and/or disadvantaged high school students around the country. The program will provide a free smartphone, tablet, laptop, or hotspot device with 3 GB of high-speed LTE data per month.
Sprint Offering $20 LTE Starter Plan
Sprint today added a new option to its list of service plans. The Starter Unlimited Data Plan includes 1GB of high-speed data and unlimited 2G data for $20 per month.
Boost Mobile Matches MetroPCS Unlimited Offer
Boost Mobile today rolled out a new "back to school" service offer that gives families less-costly unlimited service. The new Unlimited Gigs plan costs $50 for one line, which includes unlimited talk and text; 8 GB of mobile hotspot; optimized video, gaming, and music streams; and unlimited 4G LTE data for most everything else.
Sprint Intros Service Plan Only for Best Buy Customers
Sprint recently announced the Best Buy One Plan, a plan that includes a smartphone and service for a single monthly price. According to Sprint, Best Buy shoppers (who have good credit) can lease an iPhone 6 16GB with unlimited talk, text, and data for no money down for $65 per month.
