T-Mobile Launches MetroPCS Service in 15 More Markets
T-Mobile today announced that its MetroPCS prepaid brand will be available in 15 more markets beginning November 21, pushing the total to 45. Rather than operate on MetroPCS' actual network, new MetroPCS customers' devices operate on T-Mobile's GSM/HSPA+ network. T-Mobile says there are already 1.5 million such customers. Some of the new markets include Phoenix and Tucson, Ariz.; Denver, Colo.; Louisville, Ky.; Cincinnati, Ohio; and Pittsburgh, Pa. In addition to the new markets, T-Mobile said all 45 of the MetroPCS regions launched this year have access to its LTE 4G network. T-Mobile has been building out its LTE 4G network aggressively this year.
T-Mobile and MetroPCS Announce the LG Aristo
T-Mobile and MetroPCS both plan to sell the LG Aristo starting later this month. The handset is an entry-level device running Android 7 Nougat.
T-Mobile's LG K20 Plus Packs Better Specs
T-Mobile recently rolled out its own variant of the LG K20 and the phone has somewhat better specifications when compared to the Verizon variant of the same handset. The T-Mobile K20 includes the same 5.3-inch 720p display and 1.4 GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, but improves RAM to 2 GB of RAM and storage to 32 GB.

Samsung's new Galaxy S8 and S8+ smartphones will cost $750 and $850, respectively. The phones share almost all features other than size and both ship with 64 GB of internal storage.

Asus today made the ZenFone 3 Zoom available from its web site for $329. The phone was first announced in January.
