Verizon today announced two monthly pre-paid plans. Like plans already offered by Cingular and Virgin Mobile, Verizon's plans offer a set number of minutes per month plus additional benefits. Verizon offers free night and weekend and in-network calling on both plans. They will cost $50 for 350 minutes per month and $70 for 700 minutes per month. Text messages cost an additional 10 cents each to send or receive.

Good to see

Im glad to see someone at verizon saw that impulse was for the most part stupid and WAY to costly to gain any real number of customers. I still think they should have the per minute No per day charge like they did before for the older folks that want something for 911 or car breaking down ect...Not everyone needs unlimited nights & Weekends. Im not a fan of prepaid, but for verizon this seems to be a step back in the right direction.

I'd knew they come around

Almost like post-paid really but slightly higher. Much better than Virgin or Verizon's or T-Mobile rip-off pre paid plans. Come on, unlimited nights and weekends - a no-brainer!
Why do they come out with this so late !! After struggleing to get Verizon they come out with pre-paid !! If they had it around like a year ago it would've been a lot easyier for me to get a phone with them !! BUT oh well i already have my own plan an...
