Google is delivering an update to its Google Hangouts application that enables video chats over AT&T's cellular network. AT&T modified its policy regarding which apps can and cannot connect video chats via its 3G and 4G networks earlier this year. At the time it said, "Throughout the second half of this year, we plan to enable pre-loaded video chat apps over cellular for all our customers, regardless of data plan or device; that work is underway and expected to be complete by year end." The update is being pushed out in waves through the Google Play Store. Phones with the updated app will be able to view live, two-way video conversations.
