YouTube for Windows Phone Available Once Again
Microsoft today made available its YouTube application for the Windows Phone platform. The new app lets WP 7.8 and WP8 users pin videos, playlists and channels to their Start screen; adds the ability to manage YouTube profiles, playlists, and uploads; makes it easier to find channels and share videos with social networks; and makes it easier to manage content for children. Microsoft was forced to pull an earlier version of the app this Spring after complaints from Google. YouTube 3.2 for Windows Phone complies with Google's requirements. The app is free to download.
Google Refreshes Youtube for iOS
Google has pushed out an update to the iOS version of its YouTube application. The app now uses more elements from Google's Material Design, which Google says makes certain features easier to find and use.
Skype Now Lets You Dress Up Your Photos with Stickers and Effects
Skype has updated its mobile app with new tools for customizing pictures similar to Instagram and Snapchat. The photo effects include face stickers, captions, celebrity lookalikes, location and weather, and face swaps for adding a dash of whimsy to shared images.

Microsoft today said its Edge browser for Android and iOS has exited preview and is now available as a final, public application. Microsoft Edge for mobile devices ports over popular desktop features, include Favorites, Reading List, New Tab Page, and Reading View.

Google today said it plans to release a new version of YouTube Kids that will address some complaints about the app. The intent behind YouTube Kids was to give younger views a simpler way to watch videos curated for education and entertainment purposes.
Google Releases Dedicated YouTube VR App for Daydream
Google today made available YouTube VR, a separate app for Daydream View owners to find and consume virtual reality video content. Google says the content available within the app was all shot in 360-degrees to create immersive videoscapes and environments for exploration.
It allowed users to download you tube videos from within the app, it's because of this it was removed.
The new one complies with Google's requirements.
