BlackBerry today released a new version of Twitter for BlackBerry 10 devices. The updated application adds a wide range of new features, including support for multiple accounts. Other added benefits are improved Direct Message and refresh behavior; better discovery with pull-to-refresh; more details posted on Activity pages; improved search suggestions and saved searches; and improved photo saving from Twitter to the smartphone's gallery app. Twitter 10.2 for BlackBerry, which is free to download from BlackBerry World, also refreshes the user interface with a wider feed so it holds more information.

Twitter says it relies on a number of factors to determine the suggested accounts, including users' email and phone contacts, as well as what types of accounts they already follow.

Twitter said it is bridging the gap between its iPhone and iPad applications so users have the same experience no matter which device they pick up. The iPhone and iPad apps were originally developed separately, according to Twitter.
