SanDisk today unveiled two new microSD cards that it claims are among the fastest available. The SanDisk Extreme microSDXC and Extreme microSDHC have Class 10 read/write speeds of up to 80/50Mbps, and are available in capacities ranging from 16GB to 64GB. SanDisk says the cards are ideal for Android-powered devices. They support features such as full HD and 4K video capture and playback. Both cards are semi-rugged and are built to withstand shock and x-rays. They are also waterproof. The microSD cards are sold with full size SD card adapters along with RescuePro software, which can be used to recover data that's been deleted accidentally. The cards are available worldwide beginning today, with prices ranging from $59.99 to $199.99.
