Facebook Adds Video Sharing to Instagram
Updated: Updating as details emerge
Facebook today announced new features for its Instagram product that allow users to share more than just photos. The new app now allows users to share videos across the web. According to Facebook, simplicity was a core consideration for the video sharing feature, as was the ability to produce beautiful content, and share others. The app allows users to record video up to 15 seconds long directly from within the same user interface used for photos. The app lets users record in multiple segments and delete segments if needed. The app has 13 new filters created specifically for video, and lets users customize the cover image for the videos. The app features a stabilization feature called "cinema" that removes shakes and steadies the end result. Videos are added to the users' main library of images and can be viewed within the app or on the web. Video for Instagram is available to both the iPhone and Android devices.
