Yahoo and Dropbox today announced a new partnership that the two companies believe will help make managing Yahoo Mail easier. Beginning today, Yahoo has integrated Dropbox directly into its Yahoo Mail product. Yahoo Mail users will be able to access their Dropbox account from within their email inbox, where they can attach Dropbox files to emails, or download files from their email directly to Dropbox. By adding Dropbox to Yahoo Mail, Yahoo users can also circumvent the 25MB attachment limit. The companies each said the integration should ease email and attachment pains. The companies did not specifically state how this new partnership affects their respective mobile products for smartphones and tablets. Dropbox purchased Mailbox, the popular iOS email client, last month.
