Sprint: Families That Switch Get $400 Credit
Sprint has launched a new campaign that will reward families for abandoning their existing carrier. The program, which can be taken advantage of until the end of February, is only available in Sprint stores and will provide a credit of up to $400 for the purchase of new phones and/or equipment and initiation of service. At least three lines must be ported from a non-Sprint owned competing carrier in order to receive the full $400 credit. The offer requires all new lines to sign a two-year agreement with one of its Simply Everything plans. Sprint has offered similar programs in the past. Consumer Cellular recently launched its own $300 credit program for new customers who break their contract to switch over.
Sprint Offering $200 In Credit for Trade-Ins
Sprint today is kicking off a limited promotion that will reward new and existing customers with $200 in credit towards a new device when they trade in a working smartphone. The credit can be applied to the Samsung Galaxy S6 or Galaxy Note 5.
Sprint Offering 10GB to 4-Line Family Plans for $100
Sprint today introduced the Sprint Family Share Pack, a plan that includes unlimited talk and text and 10 GB of shared data for four lines for $100 per month. Sprint Family Share Pack subscribers can quadruple their shared data to 40 GB for $20 more (total of $120 before taxes and fees).
AT&T Targets Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon with Switching Offer
AT&T today said it will pay customers of competing networks up to $650 per line to switch to AT&T. The latest tactic hopes to woo Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon Wireless customers by offering to cover their fees.
Sprint Agrees to Settle FTC Charges for $2.95M
Sprint will pay the Federal Trade Commission a fine of $2.95 million for failing to properly disclose extra monthly fees billed to customers with lower credit scores. Between November 2013 and June 2014, Sprint enrolled customers with inferior credit scores in the Account Spending Limit (ASL) program — and added a $7.99 monthly fee on top of their standard service charges.
