Apple today made iOS 6.1 available to the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. The system update adds LTE support for more carriers worldwide, as well as makes it possible to purchase Fandango movie tickets via Siri and download individual songs from iCloud in iTunes Match. The new system software also makes it easier to reset advertising preferences. The update may be installed over the air, or via iTunes.

Does it fix/address the wifi "grey out" issue?

I'll hold off on updating.

Do not install on iPhone 3G (3GS just fine)

Eventhough we don't sell or support the iPhone, i've had Two callers today with iPhone 3G who somehow installed the 6.1 update, and it pretty much bricked their device, can't even turn it on.
How is that even possible? The 3G was cut off after 4,0.....I'm frankly surprised it is even possible to update a 3G to 6.1,

Just updated my iphone 4 to 6.1

and it's fast. I like it and it made the phone faster then it was.

Also how can I get my gmail contacts to appear on my phone book?
I don't really notice any difference....but then I rarely do with these small, incremental updates....

Jailbreak is being said to be out on Superbowl day!

Hopefully their time-frame doesn't change. 😁

The update adds LTE support for more carriers worldwide

I didn't think that the iPhone 5 had a reprogram-able radio modem, or does the iPhone already support these bands but this update just unlocks it?
