Alltel Adding New Customer Friendly Features To Plans

Alltel will launch new features for customers in May in an effort to make their subscribers feel more appreciated. They will automatically credit a minute back to subscribers' accounts in the event that a call is dropped from the network. They will allow customers to change their calling plan anytime without renewing their contract. And subscribers to selected plans will be able to call their home phone number for free any time. Some of these features are already available from other carriers as well. Alltel will launch these changes with a media campaign including television, radio and print.
Project Fi Adds More Roaming Coverage and Travel Alerts
Google's Project Fi today expanded the number of countries in which subscribers can roam. Project Fi was already available in 135 countries, and now subscribers can visit any of 170 countries and access their Project Fi service.
Comcast Details Mobile Phone Service as Xfinity Mobile
Comcast today revealed details of its forthcoming Xfinity Mobile phone service. The company will use Verizon's 4G LTE network for the service, using an existing MVNO agreement.
Cricket Dials In Unlimited Calling to Canada
Cricket Wireless today upgraded its $50 and $60 monthly plans to include unlimited international calling and messaging to Canada. Customers won't have to take any steps to activate the feature, Cricket is doing so automatically for all new and existing subscribers.
Microsoft Drops Free OneDrive Storage from 15GB to 5GB
Microsoft plans to reduce the amount of storage available through OneDrive in an effort to stem abuse. Significantly, free OneDrive storage is being curtailed from 15GB to just 5GB for all users, including the 15GB camera roll storage bonus.
Verizon to Bring VoLTE to Prepaid Later this Year
Verizon Wireless plans to give its prepaid subscribers access to VoLTE services, including HD Voice and video calls in the near future. Prepaid customers will need to add HD Voice to their account before they can make HD calls, but the add-on will be free.
