T-Mobile Adds Detailed Coverage Maps

T-Mobile USA has added a new, street-level coverage map to their website. This new map provides quality of service ratings on a gradual scale from great to good, fair and none overlaid on a national street map. The map is searchable by locale, intersection and address for easy zooming. Although it is believed all carriers have similar data for their coverage, this is the first time an American carrier has made it available to the public. T-Mobile still has the more traditional map showing which geographic areas have coverage on their site as well.

They need to do a little more then that to take a real bite out of Cingular or Verizon and soon to be SprintNextel.

Not that you are interested in facts or anything, but we actually have the BEST call quality of any major carrier, according to JD Power. I can personally attest to that, since I used to be indirect and used Verzon, Cingular, and T-Mobile all at the ...

Lots of Haterism in these here parts....

Seriously, one says T-mobile sucks, the other says that Cingular sucks, and next thing you know we're all sitting around drinking the Haterade, hating on one another and our respective carriers..... It is just the first step in the bastardization of America.

So please, set your Big-Gulp Haterade Slushees down and open your eyes to what we're all really upset about.... All cell phones suck.

Especially T-Mobile.

Ps- I still dig on the Zita Jones..... 😈
that is only ur opinoin. i work for tmobile.
That seemed a little contradictory. Are you sure you haven't been sipping on some of that juice?

T-Mobile has had this on their website for the past 2 or 3 months at least. Its quite handy.
I agree - now if only Cingular could get on the ball with this. 😲

I applaud Tmobile for doing this; others should follow.

again, i applaud Tmobile for doing this and we should see some more from the other carriers. i think the fcc should force carriers to provide a more detailed coverage map just like tmobile is doing.

good job tmobile.
good job tmobile. now where are the others, are they afraid we might find out just where all the holes are?

Why doesnt tmobile show coverage on their map where they have coverage?

I used the street coverage and It shows no coverage no where near the area I stay at. I know I don't have the best reception in my home but its good enough to make calls. The coverage is fair to spotty in my neighborhood but still the map show no coverage. No carrier works in my area except tmobile and verizon. Just wondering why they don't show any coverage in my area?
Maybe you only have coverage due to a roaming partner. Just a guess. If that is the case, then i'd imagine they would not show coverage there due to them paying extra for any minutes used on the roaming partner, which you yourself do not incur on yo...
