Corning to Debut Third-Gen Gorilla Glass Next Week
Corning today announced that it will demonstrate the strength of its third-generation Gorilla Glass at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas next week. Corning calls Gorilla Glass 3 "a new glass composition with durability enhancements" compared to previous versions. Gorilla Glass is routinely used by smartphone makers to protect the displays of their devices. Corning did not reveal all the features of Gorilla Glass 3.
Corning Gorilla Glass SR+ Targets Wearables
Corning this week announced Gorilla Glass SR+, a scratch resistant glass intended for smartwatches and other wearables. Corning says Gorilla Glass SR+ is strong and provides the same optical clarity and touch sensitivity of its normal glass while also boosting resistance to impact damage by 70%.
ZTE ZMax Phablet Coming To T-Mobile
ZTE today announced the ZMax, a large-screen phone exclusive to T-Mobile in the U.S. The ZMax has a 5.7-inch HD screen, Corning Gorilla Glass 3, 8-megapixel camera with flash, 1.6-megapixel front camera, large 3400 mAh battery, and runs Android 4.4.

Cricket Wireless today announced the pending availability of the Nokia Lumia 1320. The device, which Nokia announced last year, has a 6-inch 720p display with Nokia's ClearBlack technology and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection.
I haven't dropped my Nokia, so I can't really comment on how sturdy it is. I'm still waiting on my Otterbox case, but I hope I don't drop it before I get it.
