Yahoo Completely Rewrites Flickr App for iPhone
Dec 12, 2012, 8:25 AM by Eric M. Zeman

Yahoo today made a brand new version of its Flickr application available to the Apple iPhone. The app has been completely rewritten from the ground up and matches a new version of the Flickr web site, which also debuted today. The new user interface provides a better view of photos and the photos are available in higher resolutions. Users can take photos from within the application itself and edit or geotag them. The new Flickr app promotes sharing to other social networks, including Facebook and Twitter, and makes it easier to explore photos, including those taken near the user. It also adds full support for Flickr Groups and 16 filters for customizing photos. Flickr for the iPhone is a free download from the iTunes App Store.
