Twitter Updates Android and iOS Apps with Photo Previews
Nov 16, 2012, 8:32 AM by Eric M. Zeman
Twitter rolled out updates to both its Android and iOS applications in the Google Play Store and iPhone App Store. The big change introduced in the latest version adds article summaries and photo preview cards that are viewable in the Discover tab and in searches. Photos are given a higher priority and will surface first in searches and the Discover tab. The preview cards let Twitter users see the photo or article summary without having to select and load it separately. The updated Twitter is available to Android devices and the iPhone from their respective app stores. Separately, Twitter also made sharing Tweets easier from Twitter.com. Now, browser-based Twitter users can email links to tweets directly from their browser.
