Google Maps for iOS in Final Testing

Google has nearly completed a new version of Google Maps for Apple's iPhone, reports the Wall Street Journal. According to the Journal's sources, Google has given a near-final version of Google Maps to testers outside of Google. Google will soon submit the app to Apple's App Store for approval. Given that Apple kicked Google Maps out of iOS 6, it is unclear whether or not Apple will approve Google's new mapping application, which would compete with its own Apple Maps.

Too bad Google relies on iOS for revenue

I wouldn't have made them $hit and ceased all development of Google apps for iOS immediately.
Seriously... I hope, for Apple users, this leads to a map app that can be updated more regularly.

If Apple can swallow its pride long enough to think of it's users first.
they aren't making it for "them" (Apple) they are making it for themselves Google. It's better for google this way anyway.
...
Just an opinion but i think that google aint doing it for revenue from ios only also to show apple how maps are realydone which apples implementation of maps was a miserable failure.
