Nov 15, 2012, 9:44 AM by Eric M. Zeman
Flipboard today announced an update to its iOS application that adds integration with Apple's iBooks app and store. Specifically, Flipboard has added a new section for books, where readers can browse through collections of books as though they were flipping through a catalog. Users can purchase books from the iBookstore through Flipboard, which are downloaded directly to iBooks. The book section is available to Flipboard users in 10 countries (United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, Brazil, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Italy, and Spain) and has 25 different categories of books through which users can browse. Flipboard for iOS is a free download from the App Store, and is compatible with the iPhone, iPad, iPad Mini, and iPod Touch.
