Page Plus Boosts Data Allotments, Drops Overages
Page Plus Cellular today announced modifications to two of its service plans. Beginning today, the Page Plus Talk and Text 1200 plan includes 250MB of data (up from 100MB) as well as 1,200 voice minutes and 3,000 messages for $29.95 per month. Customers who run out of data, minutes, or messages can add more for $0.05 per minute, text or megabyte of data. The Unlimited Talk and Text plan now includes 200MB of data (up from 100MB) as well as unlimited voice minutes and unlimited messages for $39.95 per month. Data overages for this plan have been dropped to $0.05 per megabyte.
RingPlus To Offer Free Phone Service
RingPlus today announced a new mobile phone service plan that is ad-supported, but completely free to the customer. The ads take the form of ringback tones, which RingPlus customers hear on outbound voice calls, after dialing but before the other party picks up.
Verizon Changes Up Prepaid Plans
Verizon Wireless today announced changes to its prepaid service plans. The entry-level plan includes unlimited talk and text, but no data (WiFi only) for $30 per month.
U.S. Cellular Adjusts Prepaid Plan Pricing
U.S. Cellular has tweaked its prepaid service plans, which range from $30 to $60 per month.
AT&T's GoPhone Service Adds More Data to Plans
AT&T today made its GoPhone prepaid service plans more attractive by adding more high-speed data without changing the price points. The $45 plan improves from 2 GB of LTE data each month to 3 GB, and the $60 plan improves from 5 GB to 6 GB.
Verizon Debuts $80 Unlimited Plan for Prepaid Service
Verizon Wireless today added an unlimited data option to its series of prepaid plans. According to Verizon's web site, the new $80 plan includes unlimited high-speed service without a contract, though video is capped at 480p and prepaid customers may see slower speeds when the network is congested.
