Cricket Drops Daily PAYgo Plans
Cricket Wireless has ceased offering its daily PAYgo prepaid plans. Cricket spokesperson Greg Lund confirmed the change to Fierce Wireless, and said the plans were cancelled on October 21. Current customers of Cricket's daily PAYgo plans may remain on those plans for the foreseeable future. Lund said the company dropped the daily PAYgo plans so it could concentrate on its monthly PAYgo business. The monthly PAYgo plans start at $25 and range up to $60 depending on services and usage.
Cricket to Sell Microsoft Lumia 650 Starting May 6
Cricket Wireless today announced plans to sell the Microsoft Lumia 650. The prepaid carrier will offer the phone beginning May 6 for $130.
Apple iPhone 7 and 7 Plus Reach Cricket Stores
Cricket Wireless today commenced sales of the Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus at select stores around the country. The prepaid carrier is selling the iPhone 7 32 GB for $649, and the 128 GB for $749.
Cricket Increases Data Available to Most Plans
Cricket Wireless today added more data to some of its service plans without upping the price. The $30 entry-level still offers only 1 GB of data per month.
Cricket Gives Most Popular Plan More Data
Cricket Wireless customers can score more data on the prepaid carrier's most popular plan without raising their rates. Cricket's existing $50 service plan is improving from 5 GB of LTE data each month to 8 GB of LTE data starting today.
Cricket Expands Calling Plans to Central, South America
Cricket Wireless today made more calling and messaging add-on plans available to a greater number of countries throughout Central and South America. For $10 per month, Cricket customers can add Columbia, Costa Rica, and the Dominican Republic to their plan.
