Foursquare Refreshes Android App
Foursquare has made a new version of its Android application available via the Google Play Store. The latest rendition of the location-sharing application sports a brand new check-in screen that more closely resembles the experience on iOS devices. When checking in, Android device owners will be able to more easily share their check-ins with their Twitter and Facebook friends through new sharing tools. The app also makes some under-the-hood tweaks to improve performance. Foursquare is free to download and use.
Cortana Now Shows Foursquare Recommendations
Microsoft today said it has enabled Foursquare recommendations within Cortana, the virtual personal assistant that's part of Windows Phone 8.1. Cortana will now proactively showcase local recommendations on handsets, though the feature must first be enabled by device owners.
