U.S. Cellular recently added the LG Freedom to its ranks. The Freedom is a variant of the Rumor Reflex, which is sold by Sprint. The Freedom offers a 3.0-inch WQVGA touchscreen, QWERTY keyboard, 2-megapixel camera and camcorder, GPS, and MicroSD card slot supporting up to 32GB of memory. It costs $29.99.

More Carriers and Phone Makers Agree to Adopt Google's RCS-Based 'Android Messages' Service
Google today said more wireless network operators and handset manufacturers will use Android Messages, its RCS-based messaging service, as the default SMS/MMS tool on their phones. (Android Messages was previously known as Google Messenger.) Some of the features of RCS, which is a global standard, include group chat, high-resolution photo sharing, advanced calling features, and read receipts.

T-Mobile today added 11 new music streaming services to its Music Freedom program. The new services include Aud.io, Dash Radio, DatPiff, Jango, KCRW Music, Noon Pacific, Radio Danz, SomaFM Ambient, Spinrilla, StreamOn, and TuneIn Premium, which push the total number of supported services to 44.
