Siemens Announces 2005 A-Series

Siemens this week announced the new A7x series - its 2005 lineup of entry-level phones. All three models are tri-band GSM and will be available in versions with GSM 850, although initial availability has only been announced for Europe, Asia and Latin America.

Does anyone really care? Cingular dropped them. No one carriers their products but T-mobile, and the only have the flip.
The only phone I have liked from them is the Sx66 pocket PC. All of the other models seem to lack the features customers are looking for. Where are the camera phones! Where is the Edge Support, BT is almost non-existent, and their color screens suck. ...

Shape and form...

I think what's bothering everyone is the conservative styling of this series. They're not meant to swivel out like a Sony-Ericsson, or slide like a Samsung. They're just basic, no frils handsets. Have you ever used a Siemens? I have...never had a problem with it either.

Keep in mind the point...

The A-series is Siemens' entry-level lineup. That means the whole point of these phones is to be as affordable as possible (as in dirt-cheap).

Siemens has other lines that are designed to have all the fancy features, so you can't dis these just because they don't have a camera, etc.
even the 6010 and t237 are cool phones, they at least have color screens. 🙂
