Google Stuffs Discover Card Into Its Wallet
Discover Card and Google today announced that Discover Card users can now add their credit card to Google Wallet. Once added, Discover Card owners can use Google Wallet for tap-and-go mobile payments at certain retailers, as well as for online payments. Discover said that it will offer its card members cashback bonus rewards when they use their Discover Card and Google Wallet. Google Wallet is available on a handful of Android smartphones, including the Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus.

Google this week released a new version of Google Wallet that can capture, store, and manage gift card info. Users can add gift cards via the camera or keyboard, then show a barcode on the screen to redeem the card.
Google to Discontinue Wallet Debit Card
Google has begun informing owners of the Google Wallet Card that it will cease supporting the card come June 30. The Wallet Card was initially paired with the Google Wallet app for mobile payments, but Google transitioned its mobile payment service away from Google Wallet to Android Pay.
