Sprint Launches Disney-Themed iD Pack
Sprint today announced the availability of a new iD Pack for compatible Android phones that offers content from Disney. The Disney Junior iD Pack isn't aimed at tween users so much as it is at parents of children aged 2 - 7. Sprint imagines that parents of young children will install the iD pack, which includes games, photos, wallpapers, videos, and other content from the Disney Channel, and hand it off to their offspring when in the car or other spaces in which kids need to be entertained. The Disney Junior iD Pack from Sprint is available on a wide variety of Sprint Android smartphones. It is free to download and use.
Clips, Apple's Video Creation App, Gains Disney Characters
Apple today updated its Clips mobile video application with characters from Disney movies and new graphic overlays and posters. Apple says several classic Disney characters, such as Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy, can be added to videos complete with animations.
Motorola Debuts Two New Mods for Moto Z Series
Motorola today took the wraps off two additional Moto Mods for its Moto Z series of handsets. The first mod is a juice pack from Mophie (pictured) that packs a 3,000mAh power cell and 15W USB-C charging.
AT&T Says FiLIP 2 for Kids to Arrive Nov. 7
AT&T today announced that it will sell the FiLIP 2 beginning November 7 for $100. The FiLIP 2 is a second generation wearable for children (aged 4 to 11) that includes a rudimentary cell phone and GPS locator.
YouTube Brings Blocking Tool to Kids App
Google today updated its YouTube Kids application and gave parents a little bit more control over the content that's available to their youngsters. The latest version of the app lets parents block videos or channels when they are signed into the app.
Microsoft Adds Disney Anywhere Content to Movies & TV
Microsoft today announced a new partnership with Disney that adds content from the Disney Movies Anywhere service to Microsoft's Movies & TV video service. Microsoft says users who connect their Microsoft Movies & TV account with a Disney Movies Anywhere account will automatically see content cross-populate their libraries.
