Kodiak Networks announced a number of upgrades to its RTX Push To Talk system. In addition to the traditional select and send interface, Kodiak has added an availability list, which works like an IM buddy list showing users as available, do not disturb, offline, etc. To supplement voice communication with offline buddies, Kodiak has added voice notes, the PTT equivalent of voice mail, and "call me" requests. Alltel currently uses Kodiak's software for its Push To Talk network in the US, and Orange has implemented it across the pond.

When did it become so hard to open your phone an use a speed dial key or dial 7-10 numbers... Beats me 🙄
